DESCRIPTION
How Artificial Intelligence has changed the education sector.

With the advancement of technology, the education sector has also stepped into a new digital era. Along with the various digital tools, artificial intelligence (AI) has had a major impact on the education sector for both students and teachers, and it has revolutionised how we teach and learn new concepts. Here’s why it has become a game changer for the education industry.

AI allows the personalisation of education for students in ways that they find interesting and by tailoring it to their needs. Thus, as education adapts to the students’ needs, it has become easier for them to set and achieve their educational goals.

ROLE OF VIRTUAL REALITY

Similarly, the introduction of virtual reality (VR) has also made education more interesting and interactive. Furthermore, the implementation of chatbots has made education accessible to students around the clock. Earlier, students had to wait to get to school to get their doubts resolved. Now, they have all the information available at the click of a button.

Since VR focuses on experiential learning, it makes it easier for students to retain information rather memorising everything without actually learning its meaning.

ROLE OF AI

At the click of a button, students can now look up their doubts online and find a plethora of information on one topic. Their dependency on teachers to clarify their doubts and answer their questions has reduced drastically as they can now explore new topics by themselves.

Artificial Intelligence has made it easier to manage and organise learning for educators as well as students. There are several learning management systems that make life easier by providing aid in tracking learning, assigning tasks and online activities among other things by creating a centralised management system.

Furthermore, it also helps educators analyse a student’s strengths, weaknesses and abilities, making it easier for them to focus on problem areas in the students learning process.

This saves a lot of time by speeding up mundane tasks like administrative paperwork, grading papers and increasing the efficiency of the educator by providing access to e-learning tools which, in turn, help them widen their horizons and remain updated on the latest content.
