About:

The Nehru Centenary British Fellowships from the External Scholarship Division, MHRD are offered by the British Government in collaboration with the External Scholarship Division, Ministry of Human Resource and Development. In this scholarship scheme, students are sent to the United Kingdom to pursue higher studies or conduct research in the different fields of study.

Field:
Degree/research abroad in:
i. Energy Conservation
ii. Small Business Development
iii. English Language
iv. Economics
v. International Relations

Eligibility:
1) Candidates must not be more than 34 years of age. In case of SC or ST candidates, age limit of 36 years is acceptable.
2) Candidates must have maintained a consistently good academic record with post graduation in the respective field of study.
3) Candidates must be Indian nationals resident in India at the time of applying for the scholarship.

Criteria:
1) Candidates must stay in India for 2 years in succession after returning from the United Kingdom.
2) Candidates must have good knowledge in the geography, culture as well as heritage of the United Kingdom.

Scholarship / Grant:

Full financial help under the fellowship scheme are provided by the British Government and covers the particulars quoted below
1) Tuition fees
2) Staying and living expenses.
3) International air fare
