The CUHK MBA programs have a clear vision that is inherently curated with a level of social responsibility, an integral core essence in sustainable business development. The student-initiated Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Conference launched in 2007 acquired much acclaim. The annual event has since served as a powerful platform on which to advocate the importance of CSR, tackle major obstacles and share good practice with corporations, NGOs and the academic communities in the Asia-Pacific region.

One of the best ways to sharpen the students’ skills is to use them consistently for application-based goals. CUHK MBA students enjoy rewarding opportunities to hone their business analysis and presentation skills through participation in international MBA case competitions hosted by different business schools and companies. Over the past few years, the CUHK MBA Office has supported students’ participation in more than 10 insightful competitions. For selected events, the university sponsors 50% – 100% of the student’s inter-city transportation, accommodation, visa and registration costs.

Building a career requires more than just expanding one’s knowledge, resource-base, and skills. For this, the institution has established an Elite Mentorship Programme, which provides students with personal development goals and career advice in addition to industry insights. Mentoring is central to their approach, in which they offer informal guidance on important career transitions by sharing knowledge and experiences.

Student-driven clubs are another highlight of CUHK MBA life, and the students reap the benefits once they come out as flourishing graduates scouring to the professional job market. The students here benefit from the broad range of activities organised by the MBA Student Association and other student clubs, such as executive seminars, company visits and short study tours to networking and sporting events that build tight-knit relationships, connections, and foster a heartwarming team spirit.

The university links students with an expansive network of alumni entrepreneurs – CUHK Entrepreneurs Alliance, which offers talks, mentorships, events and more. Students are able to gain support for start-ups from units like CUHK Alumni Torch Fund, and advice and personal experience from the leaders in Asian entrepreneurship.
