HEC Montreal is a constituent school of the Canada-based Université de Montréal, and known as the first established school of management in Canada. Founded in 1907, it has been accredited to the EFMD Quality Improvement System (EQUIS), Association of MBAs (AMBA) and the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). It was the first school in America to receive accreditation from these prestigious organizations. The school has affiliations from the Universities of Canada, Conférence des Grandes Écoles (CGE), and the Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE).
