Getting us back to school
The cause of the lockdown – the pandemic has left us many in shock, disbelief and poverty. It has shown us all, that no matter how sophisticated we are, we are not. It has reminded us to re-visit, re-learn the basic principles of life – love, kindness and gratitude. It has connected all of humanity together across the globe, among various cultures and religions by reminding that we are all one & susceptible equally.
Take a pause
It has taught to stop running behind meaningless goals and made us to take a pause & asked us to re-validate if they are all worthy. Rather than rushing to our office/college without taking breakfast, it has emphasized the need to give importance to one’s health & without it; there is no use of wealth. Exercising & doing Yoga are no longer cliché.
Gratitude
Apparently, it has also enabled us to exercise gratitude, show empathy & become more earnest. It would not be too big a word if I said, it has made us to shed our old selves and bring in new enthusiasm for the benefit of others as well.
Pursuance
Personally, it has enabled me to “tick off” items from lists that were created years ago. It has indicated that time and time wait for none & enabled me in – pursuing an e-MBA, volunteering in NGO, writing my first blog in back with my old friends. It also has made me realize, not to worry about what others think & move ahead in life.
It has made us remember all of the truths that we had forgotten. Thus, the lockdown has become an ode to Humanity and a blessing in disguise!
