What have you done in this lockdown? Spending time with family! Netflix and chill! Watching World Cup highlights! After certain period it all started to get boring right? Well, it was different for me, you may ask how? Everyone were Locked inside their houses, what could have you done differently? So let me begin with my adventures of lockdown!

I am the type of guy who can’t stay at home all day I need to go outside to meet my friends or to go just for a basic stroll but spending my all day at home? Hell no! Certainly it must be the case for most of you people, but we can’t do anything if government has imposed lockdown, right? And even for our own safety we must stay at home. It was no exception for me too. Fortunately, just before the imposition of lockdown, I decided to go to my Village. And Boy! That was probably one of the best decisions I ever made.

My village is far away from the pollution and noise of the city. I don’t go to my village usually because either my parents are busy with their work or I am busy with my studies. Even during vacations I rarely go there. So when I get there it was a feeling of nostalgia. First of all, meeting my grandparents who looked so old, making me wonder when was the last time I met them and how young they seemed. Then remembering the things I used to do when I was little, like playing with stray pups, riding bicycle, and running around neighborhood imagining it to be my territory, with no worries about going to school. What a time it was! And then I took a resolution to enjoy this time as much as possible. What so great about a village is you are not restricted, you can go to any home or any farm there and they will treat you like their own child. What you will get there is unconditional love.

My days went by like minutes as me, my cousins and my friends there were all having best of their time. Every day we went to fishing, swimming, hunting, and trekking. Waking up early, to climb the nearby hill and when you get to the top, there it is- a lovely sight to behold! Heavenly greenery everywhere with a small village between it, which makes you admire the beauty of nature. After that, it is time to swim and fish. Oh sorry! We don’t fish with a rod in our hands, we fish by tying a net in the water. Let me explain, what we have to do is just make those fishes fear you so they will swim towards the net, it may seem silly but trust me you don’t have to work hard, and you will get your hands on lot of fishes. Moving on, we either betake ourselves to play volleyball or go for hunting. And after a long day, when you get home what welcomes you is a delicious feast which is result of your own hard work of running behind those animals and fishes and that makes it more appetizing. Is there a better way to end your day then gossiping and playing cards with your cousins? That’s how I spent my days during this crisis which was more or less blessing for me as it helped me to take a break from all the stress of life which can’t be relieved just by Netflix and chill, right?
