Master of Design (M.Des) is a postgraduate degree awarded in the field of Design. M.Des programs usually last for around two years, and combine creativity with professional skills in preparing candidates for a career in design.

Global Differences:

Although the Master of Design degree is offered as a two-year program in most universities, some differ in their offerings.

For instance, Royal Academy of Arts (Netherlands), University of Dundee (Scotland) are some universities that offer the M.Des degree at the end of a one-year program instead.

Eligibility:

The Master of Design degree usually follows a Bachelor in Design or another equivalent Bachelor’s degree, as decided by the admitting institution.
